Protection of Aircraft canopies

Spraylat temporary peelable coatings are used to protect aircraft canopies and transparencies during manufacture, assembly, transport and storage.

The waterborne coatings are non toxic , non flammable and applied by conventional air assisted or airless spray equipment to form a transparent skin tight film  which prevents abrasion and accidental damage to these very valuable items whilst still allowing light into the cockpit for continued work, a fact long recognised by our customers including BAE, Aerostructures Hamble, GKN.

The coatings can remain in place for several months and are simply stripped away by hand when required without leaving any residue. See also details on long term preservation and mothballing.
